SETS is Redefining What a "Fraternal Organization" is All About

The word "fraternal" has traditionally meant a "brotherhood," or friendship among groups of men; for example, "fraternities" are social clubs for male college students. In the US, fraternal organizations like the Masons, Elks, Eagles, or Moose, have limited membership solely for men, with women only allowed to participate in the wives club or the women's auxiliary group. They often have other exclusionary restrictions on joining, such as requiring that you be nominated by a current member, or that you believe in a certain faith or religion.

SETS is redefining "fraternal" to mean friendship between and among all people, regardless of gender, religion, race, national origin, sexual orientation, physical disability, or any other category that tries to "other" people. The only pre-requisite for SETS membership is the desire to make friends, have fun, and support your community. We are committed to maintaining a diverse, dynamic, and inclusive organization where any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse is considered unacceptable.

SETS clubhouses are bright, welcoming, modern, and fun spaces for members to socialize, do wine tastings, enjoy music, watch the big game, gamble, play games, practice yoga & meditation, and organize charitable community activities.

Each SETS clubhouse will be different - some will have outdoor spaces for live music events and fun activities such as ziplining; others will have special indoor spaces such as bourbon bars or media rooms; some are in downtown areas of cities; others in the mountains or at the beach. No matter which clubhouse you join, you'll be getting something special!
